End of summer and few screenings
The summer passed with exploration of fossils in Dorset and sense of awe of the variety of alien looking seaweeds in north Wales’s beaches. Just as last year, I was blessed with 3 days at the Brazier International Filmfestival at the magical setting of Brazier’s park. I showed a film that I still have strong emotional attachments and was really glad to be able to talk and open up so comfortably about this film with very warm friendly audience.
Next month will see the release of Celluloid Underground, a film by Ehsan Khoshbakht that I helped as the editor. It was a project that took at least 10 years on and off and a great joy to work on.
I am so happy to be part of a selection of films by Amirali Ghasemi from previous Limited Access series for Les Instants Video in Marseille. The trigger of the cone was my first super 8 film after a gap from 16mm experiments in first year of film school in Art University in Tehran and has a special place for me.
