On the same night I was experiencing one of my longest panic attacks, I could also hear the police helicopters flying around Redland, the Downs and further towards the Suspension bridge. I knew what was going on. They were searching for a lady, Charlotte, who had left the maternity ward with her 2 day old daughter. There was CCTV footage of her, leaving her room, walking through corridors, then entering a room, coming out with her daughter in her arm, wrapped with only a thin sheet and herself wearing her hospital slippers. She passed a vending machine where two nurses were buying chocolates. Then cut to another shot: she opens the door; she enters the streets and leaves. That was 2 days ago and now the search was at its peak. I shake in my panic and listen to helicopters and pray from the depth of my heart that Charlotte and her daughter are not anywhere around here. She is at a friend’s house, hiding in secret. I finally go to sleep amid the racing of my heart and the helicopters. Th…
